Examination for Contact Lenses
If you wear or want to wear contact lenses, additional screening is required. As such, there may be additional charges for contact lens exams and other more detailed tests when ordering eyeglasses or contacts. Many insurance plans cover bi-annual exams only. Please refer to your insurance company website for more information about coverage.
Contact Lens Prescriptions Expire Annually
Since contact lens prescriptions expire annually, it is the patients responsibility to pay for contact lens examinations every other year if insurance covers exams on a bi-annual basis.
